Should you stick with a tried-and-tested vaporizer or upgrade to a brand-new design? This guide will go over all the features of PAX MINI so that you can see whether or not it's worth upgrading from PAX 2.
Our PAX 2 vaporizer was decommissioned a few years ago, but we still regularly hear from PAX 2 fans. While we love that our customers remain satisfied years after their purchase, we're not interested in resting on our laurels. The research and development team at PAX is always finding new ways to enhance our designs. Our PAX MINI is an exciting new take on the dry herb vaporizer, so it's worth checking out.
At a glance, PAX 2 and PAX MINI look somewhat similar, and both provide the same basic service of vaporizing dried cannabis. However, a closer look will reveal that PAX MINI is much shorter than PAX 2 or our PAX PLUS vaporizer. Inside, you'll find that PAX MINI has a new (smaller) oven and oven screen design - the PAX MINI oven size is the same size as other models when utilizing the half-pack oven size. The PAX MINI also has a simplified single mode that adapts to users' puffing behavior: No need for users to adjust the temperature.
PAX MINI gets its name from the fact that it's our smallest vaporizer yet, but that's not its only advantage. Here are other exciting new features included in the PAX MINI design:
Here are some of the many reasons you may want to check out our PAX MINI vaporizer.
PAX MINI and PAX 2 use the same style of conduction oven. However, PAX MINI's oven design ensures more even vaporization in solo sessions. It's also a more powerful oven that heats up more quickly than PAX 2. PAX MINI can produce vapor within just 22 seconds of being turned on.
PAX MINI has an extended battery life compared to PAX 2. A full charge in PAX 2 results in 90 minutes of continuous use while a full charge on PAX MINI lasts up to 120 minutes. Both styles of vaporizer use the same basic charging method with a PAX USB charger.
Users report that PAX MINI's controls are much simpler to use than PAX 2 settings or even PAX PLUS experience modes. The smart draw technology automatically adjusts temperature based on how you inhale. Longer, slower draws result in thicker vapor while short, fast draws result in lighter clouds. Compared to PAX 2, PAX MINI produces more reliable results without requiring users to mess around with settings a lot.
While PAX MINI and PAX 2 both prioritize a sleek look overall, PAX MINI is much more compact. This short, slim vaporizer easily fits in a pocket or a purse, so it's easy to bring with you on adventures. PAX MINI is currently available in three colors, including a rich poppy orange color not available on any other PAX models. Its metal exterior has a matte, scratch-resistant finish.
PAX MINI retails for $125. This price includes the full vaporizer kit with two types of mouthpieces, a magnetic oven lid, a wire cleaning brush, and a USB PAX MINI charger. The PAX MINI price is lower than PAX 2's original retail price of $150. However, since PAX 2 is only available through third-party sellers now, it's often harder to find and more expensive to purchase.
Ultimately, PAX MINI is ideal for new to vape users, or users wanting the simplest solo sessions. It heats up faster, stays charged longer, and is more compact. PAX MINI is also easier and more intuitive to use, so it's ideal for cannabis enthusiasts who want a fast and user-friendly experience. The only reason to stick with your old PAX 2 is if you like manual temperature settings or always use your PAX for group sessions.

No. Though both of these vaporizers are dry herb vaporizers with a stylish look, they have very different specifications. PAX MINI has a bigger battery, a different oven design, and simpler controls.
PAX 2 and PAX MINI share some of the same accessories, like charging cables. However, some of the newer PAX MINI accessories, like the MINI grip sleeve, will only work with PAX MINI. PAX MINI is also not compatible with the concentrate insert and grip sleeves made for the PAX PLUS line. Make sure you review the devices compatibility when reviewing accessories for PAX devices.
For most of our customers, PAX MINI is worth an upgrade. Small, quality-of-life changes like the shallower oven make every vaporizing session a little easier. Furthermore, the longer battery life and smaller size make it much easier to focus on enjoying your cannabis without worrying about your charge level.
When you're looking to upgrade your PAX 2, don't forget about PAX MINI vs PAX PLUS. Our PAX PLUS concentrate and dry herb vaporizer is a good choice if you also want to vaporize concentrates. It's also a good choice if you want the PAX PLUS experience modes or prefer the PAX PLUS colors.
With upgrades like a faster heat time and a more convenient oven design, PAX MINI is sure to impress even the most dedicated cannabis enthusiast.
