What do Lights Mean on PAX ERA? A Guide

The LED indicator lights are a window into your PAX ERA vape pen. Arranged in the shape of the PAX "X" logo, those four petals will change color, blink, and fade to reflect your device’s mode and status. In this guide, we take you through the colors and functions of the LED indicator on the PAX ERA vape pens.

What do the different LED lights mean?

While they serve different purposes, the PAX ERA line of vape pens have similar LED functionalities to the PAX line of vaporizers. The big difference is that the ERA PRO product has color LED's, whereas the other ERA pens do not.

Below we review the LED lights and what they indicate.

Battery Notifications

Below are the different LED notifications related to battery for all PAX ERA vape pens:

• Charging: When plugged in, each petal will pulse white while charging. The light turns solid white and the next petal begins to pulse as the device charges.
• Charged: After charging, four solid white LEDs indicates that the battery is full.
• Battery level: The LED indicator will turn white. Each petal corresponds to the approximate battery life in 25 percent increments.
• Low battery: The petals will blink three times before powering down. For the ERA PRO, it petal will also turn red.

Temperature Notifications

Below are the different LED notifications related to temperature settings on the ERA device:

ERA / ERA LIFE / ERA CLASSIC

• One white petal: Low (520°F, 270°C)
• Two white petals: Medium-Low (610°F, 320°C)
• Three white petals: Medium-High (700°F, 370°C)
• Four white petals: High (790°F, 420°C)

ERA PRO

• One green petal: Low (520°F, 270°C)
• Two yellow petals: Medium-Low (610°F, 320°C)
• Three orange petals: Medium-High (700°F, 370°C)
• Four red petals: High (790°F, 420°C)

ERA Pods

Below are the different LED notifications related to use of ERA pods alongside the ERA device:

ERA / ERA LIFE / ERA CLASSIC

• Inserting the pod: White LEDs sweep downward
• Removing the pod: White LEDs sweep upward

ERA PRO

• Inserting the pod: White LEDs sweep downward
• Removing the pod: Blue LEDs sweep upward

During Use

All ERAS

• While taking a hit: The LED indicator will be white and dim; brightness will increase as you reach the end of your draw.

ERA PRO only

• Usage monitoring: The petals will cycle through green (one puff per lit petal), blue (two puffs per lit petal), and red (three puffs per lit petal) to indicate the number of puffs you’ve taken in a session.
• Reset usage monitoring: The LED light will turn green and swirl counter-clockwise.
• Child lock activated: The LED indicator will turn red and make a counter-clockwise motion.

How to fix a blinking vape pen

1. Charge your vape: It will take approximately 45 minutes for ERA pens to fully recharge.
2. Check your pod: Disconnect and and reconnect your ERA pod.
3. Examine the battery: Make sure that nothing is jammed or broken on your ERA pen.
